Laser technology is ideal to measure long distances, up to 700 meters/yards! Image shows instrument mounted on camera-type staff (accessory). Distance Measuring

Different height measurement methods can be selected depending on the environment or needs.

  • One point height
  • Three point
  • Two point with laser
  • Two point with reference point
  • Two point with fixed distance Tree Heights
Measure inclination in the terrain. The L5 instrument presents the angle in degrees, grads and percentage. The camera-type monopod with foot-bracket is an accessory that can be used with the Postex, the VL5 and the L5 when a steadier aim is required. Angle and Inclination

Power line measuring work

The L5 Laser is an excellent choice for control work in utility industry and along roads and power lines. Line sags, borderline trees and tree limits, heights, angles and distances are measured with high accuracy and speed. The L5 instrument is completely field adapted, rugged, and built tough for everyday use in all types of surroundings. Controlling Hazard Trees

Hazard Trees Function

Use the L5 to measure and identify potential hazard trees along power lines, building sites, houses, roads and railways.

Delta Height Function

Use the incorporated Delta Height Function to measure line sag.

Laser Filter

A laser filter allows for flexible measuring, where you can select to measure the closest object, the farthest object or the object with strongest reflection.

Internal storing and data processing capacity

With storing capacity of 2000 datasets, the L5 Laser works great in plot surveys to calculate average height in a stand.

IR or Bluetooth can be used to transfer values to the MD II Caliper, the DP II Computer Caliper or Digitech Professional computer calipers or other handheld units with dataformat NMEA or ASCII formate.

Custom programmed

Available custom L5 Lasers are the L5 Pile used to measure timber piles and wood chip heaps, and the L5 Gator Eyes for use in the mining industry.
